Hydatid, also known as echinococcosis, is a parasitic disease caused by the infection of hosts by Echinococcus, a middle-stage larva of Echinococcus, which occurs mostly in nomadic areas. Echinococcosis is mainly divided into two categories, namely Cystic Echinococcosis (CE) caused by Echinococcus granulosus and Alveolar Echinococcosis (AE) caused by Echinococcus multilocularis.
